That's my husband's drakesona.
• The runes glow (in the colors shown in the reference above) when "activated". He have no control over when and wich rune will activate, they just randomly activate themselves when in need, not alway helpign the situation. Example: The wind rune may not actiave itself when he need to run faster, but may activate ramdomly in battle.
• He IS all black, but the color may go grey or bluish dependin on the shades.
• Have no family, and it's not seen as a "pure" black dragon, was raised by a ancient human for he was neglected by his mother, as he's been told.
• Preffers to be alone. His only company over time was Chuu (My own scalesona).
• Loves to read, and keep searching for a way to control his runes.

That's my odd way to say that I like the character, and his story looks quite sad with all that solitude factor. The runes are quite interesting as well, perfectly well explained.
