staff:

his staff was crafted from a fire hardened piece of gaboon ebony heartwood and adorned with obsidian from it's base all the way to it's top (they help him not only channel his dark magic but also store store any remaining for latter usage, hence it's constant glowing) sitting atop the larger sphere of obsidian lays a rams skull, for that extra menacing look

his gemstones:

the amethyst, obsidian and ruby beads adorning his skull masks horns and the ones around his left and right wrists also help him in channeling his dark powers

how he acquired his seth tattoo:

his life as a rouge blood mage before joining more then made the lizan worthy of seths's gaze

about his other markings:

the marking on his chest identifies him as a blood mage of considerable status and power

the markings on his left and right arms (not shown) each represent forbidden spells long lost to the sands for countless centuries

personality/background:

before being spared from the gallows by isaac (he'd been caught raping and draining a wife and husband of their blood and essences but was easily apprehended do in part to his arrogance) he lived a fairly laid back life as a rogue mage and healer, drifting from town to outpost alike using his own lifeforce to heal the sick and the poor until one fateful night he raped one of his patients simply for being to beautiful in his eyes. being the daughter of a powerful shiek he had no choice but to drain her. he felt remorse of course for what he'd done, she had only been a pregnant mother looking for his aid to lighten her labor pains and he did the unthinkable. but she as the daughter of a powerful shiek, no way was he going down for what he'd done. it was her fault for being so beautiful.

over the years he was exposed and forced to turn to black magic again and again until he was at last fully corrupted and transformed into a seemingly soulless monster, that was before he'd sworn his loyalty to the dark god seth and to the snow white jackal.

through seth zerk'sis's knowledge and efficiency with the dark arts easily increased ten fold

as you may have guessed he's an underhanded, nasty and mean sod of a lizan. deep down though he's much worse
