Okay so here is the next bust in the bust study I've chosen to upload here on Weasyl. I think I'll upload one or two more out of the study.

Now when it came to painting this one, I decided to play with stronger/harsher lighting and fur so here's a painting of Kiwa. She is a Goaxi, which are a alien species/race I made up after watching through all of Star Trek TNG.
It took a bit of time to get the lighting just right, particularly on her right cheek. For example, I had way to much contrast there at one point. I was tempted to add more fluffy fur texture in some of the areas with the shorter fur, but I decided against it because I felt it would muddy the painting and I rather liked how it looked. I do wish I had kept the fur in the neck a little more soft and fluffy looking instead of going with the longer and thinner fur type...but that's a character design note I'll keep in mind for later.
