yeah actually uhh, the "petals" of her tail are actually kinda like tentacles??? or more like tongues...idek theyre fleshy and muscular and actually have a pretty good range of motion when they open up. she uses her tail bulb to scoop up her babies after they hatch to transport them, sorta like how mommy alligators carry their babies in their mouths

shitshitshit i gotta draw this sometime omg do the babies look p much like her or do they have some form of variation among eachother(maybe according to the host they grew up into?)?-
UHHH tbh the host has nothing to do with the process of how the babies look, hosts are just used as a temperature/climate incubator/food source. i soooorta have some species stuff worked out for what monster orchid is, shes like a queen ant, so she looks all pretty n stuff. the babies i imagine are kinda squishy and pathetic, probs with less petals on the face and no real tail bulb since theyre babies??? think maybe like...baby kittens, baby alligators, and grubs all together. today during class i kinda wanna try drawing them in case anyones curious to kno what babies and eggs look like i guess ;o;;
