2016 Commission prices

van-weasel

Hey everyone, here's a price sheet for types of commissions I take. I've set price ranges instead of fixed prices since a lot of this depends on size, complexity, etc.

I do have more examples and such on my FA commission info tab http://www.furaffinity.net/commissions/van-weasel/

A little bit about these commission types:

Traditional media stuff is usually drawn on 8.5x11 paper (and prices can vary if you want to go bigger than that or smaller). It's possible to mail traditional pieces to clients (and I would prefer to do this!) but I may charge extra for things mailed outside of the United States.

Poster edits- for this type of commission, I draw your character(s) over an existing high resolution movie poster of your choice.

For digital work, you get a high res file.

As a general rule for large works, you'll get to see a progress sketch and request changes before inking starts. Large edits or multiple edits may cost extra. For digital work, where major edits can occur beyond the sketch stage, major edits will cost a bit more. A major edit is something like "I change my mind, could you give her angel wings instead of devil wings?" whereas a small change would be "blue eyes instead of green please" or "could you add a stripe on her leg?"

If you want quote, or would like something not shown here, feel free to send me a note at any time. I'll gladly draw most types of fetish content- vore, hyper, bdsm, multifurry, oviposition, taurs etc- but may refuse a rare thing here and there based on comfort or lack of interest

I am currently open for:

Traditional marker: 1
Movie Poster Edits: 2
Lineart: 3
Digital color: 4

I ought to do a sheet like this instead of listing every individual thing. It'd be soo much easier to deal with. Also you're prices are higher but they make a lot of sense based on the high quality of works you produce. Also movie poster edits tho. Do you take like actual posters and draw over them and send them back or.

I'm glad you find my prices sensible. I'm trying to be fair to myself in terms of time spent, supplies, and what constitutes a decent wage per hour when I'm working!

For the movie poster edits, those are digital. I find a high resolution scan of a poster or vhs cover (if I can find it online) and digitally paint over it. If I was actually painting on the real posters it'd be super expensive, since many are highly collectible and hard to find. I'd feel bad painting over real ones!

I never thought of it like that the posters I mean. But yeah your prices seem pretty fair to yourself and the customer. I suppose it'd be easy to just get the poster printed out to. I'm so gonna hit you up for one in the future because that would be crazy cool.
