Yeeee, I am just GIDDY over these wings! I wanted to keep the focus on the body of the character, while still maintaining interest in the outer edges of the wings and background, and opted for clusters of detail for the background and going with a dynamic wrist-turn, mid-flap of the wings. And, as always, working on the lighting effects for the wings closest to the body was just a blast.
