"Thunder Pup" Official Comprehensive Comic Cover

TheSUPERverse

The story this image represents will eventually make its way to Weasyl, but until then you can read it on our main base of operations on DeviantArt:

While comic book series usually have a cover for each issue, or chapter in our case, it would eventually be a financial nightmare to keep that going, resulting in approximately 30 pics.
Instead, we've resolved to have one comprehensive summarizing cover page for each story related to this.

This cover is for the first side story that branches from the events of "S.U.P.E.R.": "Thunder Pup"
Here's a description of the story:

"Separated from his cub hero allies after the events of the first half of "S.U.P.E.R.", Thunder deals with the fame his new hero persona has acquired. When offered an interesting "business" opportunity, Thunder finds that fame can be dangerous."

"Thunder Pup is inspired by KelvinTheLion's 'Mythies' comic series, Codename: Kids Next Door, and more!"

The "Thunder Pup" story arc takes place in the middle of the "S.U.P.E.R." story arc. The first half of "S.U.P.E.R." is completed and up on DeviantArt, but the second half won't be worked on until all of these side stories are complete. The small "S.U.P.E.R." logo attached to the sidebar helps represents this, and the same will be added to all three of the other cub hero side story cover images when they're done. We will continue to attach the names of other arcs like this to show that the stories are connected and/or happening around the same time. We got this idea from Marvel comics, and those who read their work will likely understand this method.

On this cover image, we see the brand new costume that Thunder obtains in the story arc, as well as a possible glimpse at what his advertisements may look like later on. We also had more fun with our logo, this time applying Thunder's costume colors to the logo. This will be a continuing trademark feature for us, and we'll come up with more fitting color combinations whenever we can. If a story is general and/or important enough, however, we may still stick with our usual red and blue.

Character is (C) G. Scheaffer
Artwork is (C) Koopus
