Arvalox is surprised to see a portal created, something that was very hard to imagine since much of the remaining portals were barely functioning within the city but seeing this one working perfectly was shocking. He knew his purpose now, he had to go through to help, he had no choice, it was either go through the portal and supposedly help save the city or be arrested by the guard, so he went through well the thief tried to reason with the guard but thats not going so well. (If i decide to do more than 6 pages by continuing this comic in the future you may find out more about the conversation with the guard and the thief, however for now this is likely the last we will see of them and the overworld.
