And so once more the band does play
and all creatures dance without fear,
as the morning sun rises and the endless toe stands
and we celebrate Annual Okamitsune Year.

Some sing and swing and step and spin
others draw rhythm and music to the scene.
Many more display prowess and incredible strength,
showing off for the goddess their cunning and keen.

All round the clawpole, young children run
winding the ribbons in wide ringing arcs,
while others watch the real thing filling in the sky
growing on without limit and replacing the dark.

Hail to the goddess! May her reign never end!
Bigger and bigger may she grow unopposed!
Hail to Okamitsune! Grandest of grand!
Let the greatest of cosmi slip under her toes!

Forward another few thousand years, and on the underside of the paws, we're into Medieval times. Mediaeval Fayre? Medieval Fair? Whichever spelling you prefer it's time to celebrate the start of annual Okamitsune year! Let an entire year of celebrating commence! Only Okamitsune would have an annual festival last a year, heh. Anyway this picture contains a few cameos from the distant relatives of stream goers, so you might recognise a few of them!
