Фиолетовый Мечтатель - Violet Dreamer

♬ Расцветали яблони и груши,
Поплыли туманы над рекой;

Chœur de l'Armée Rouge - Katyusha - 1954

"We will do all we can to insure peace... but if war is imposed upon us we will be together shoulder to shoulder as in the last war to strive for the happiness of mankind." -Г. К. Жуков, 1945

9 мая 1945; Москва, РСФСР - The good news reached Moscow in a heartbeat and everyone came to celebrate. Our soldiers paraded through Red Square in a massive display of our military might. Lines, upon lines of our greatest troops were awarded medals for their bravery and waved to the cheering public. Men, women, and children attended this festival and tossed flowers to the brave heroes of the Motherland as they passed by. The red banner that once flew over the Reichstag was brought home to its final resting place. High commanders were presented the honor of storing this treasure where all the great people may come to see it for generations to come. Effegies of the Führer were burned in the city square and captured war criminals were paraded through the streets before finally meeting their fate. Comrade Stalin was proud of us, as we headed a thousand-gun salute. Planes flew overhead and soldiers marched alongside the tanks. A massive display of fireworks and the tune of the band playing patriotic hymns filled the night sky. 'Twas a glorious sight to see. And there I was in the middle of it all, just taking in the various sights and sounds. My bright purple cape distinguished me from the crowd and everyone was delighted to see me. This was a lot better than the horrors of war and I was thankful to see the end of it. I looked up to the heavens and spoke, "We will never forget the blood shed from our brothers and sisters, as we wish better for the next generation."

I loved this theme so much I decided to apply the same to Karen. And I've been meaning to talk about her role in the Second World War a bit as well as show the uniform she wore during this time period (SPOILER ALERT: I will be making a reference picture of her dressed like this). And this takes place long before she "met up" with Mishya (as they fought on two different fronts of the war and Mishya hadn't lived in Moscow at the time). Karen was drafted into the war as soon as the homeland was under attack by the Nazis. And she looked forward to it, because she wanted an adventure to break the rituals of her rather boring life. She trained long and hard for the day she would be deployed on the front. And she was responsible for protecting the Caucasus region from various attacks. And now to change the subject, I am very proud of how this picture came out as well. I didn't want to copy the exact design of Mishya's, so I chose to have Karen's be a little more unique. Although there are less patriotic symbols featured on her's, they are a lot more detailed this time. Plus, I didn't have much of a plan for its design. And somehow I got it to work because everything fits in their as nicely as the last one. :)
