Российские куколи - The Russian Dolls

♬ From Russia with love I fly to you
Much wiser since my goodbye to you
I've travelled the world to learn
I must return from Russia with love

I've seen places, faces and smiled for a moment
But oh, you haunted me so
Still my tongue tied, young pride
Would not let my love for you show
I case you say no

To Russia I flew but there and then
I suddenly knew you'd care again
My running around is through
I fly to you, from Russia with love ♬

Matt Monroe - From Russia with Love - 1963

THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST DETAILED PIC I'VE EVER DONE ON A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER

Just a beautiful picture of the great dynamic duo, Mishya and Karen, standing in what appears to be an oversized keepsake shelf. The walls and floors bear designs of rushnyky whereas the two are standing in a large martyoshka doll. Supposed to be symbolic of the two characters' Russian heritage, and the culture that surrounds them.

Don't know what a rushnyk or matryoshka is?

And doesn't that one they're standing in look a bit... familiar?

I just really went all-out on this one picture for some reason. All down to the last detail, it's truly a thing of pure beauty. I'm just... so speechless to how nice this came out and it really captures the essence of what it means to be a Russian.

If I had to give this picture another name, I'd call it "The Most Russian Picture of All Time," because that's how I feel about this.

A real "keepsake" couple if you might say~
