"A vindvigg's great canines are one of their most valuable weapons, as they primarily prey upon large mammals. Their elongated teeth allow them to bite more deeply than other creatures, easily reaching major blood vessels. Though their jaws are certainly strong, vindviggs also possess powerful neck muscles which they use to thrust their teeth downwards into their prey. This technique is used on prey with tougher hides.

Vindviggs prefer to kill their prey with a few, precise strikes, usually aiming for soft tissue such as the throat and belly. Their fabled lightning breath is only used in fights between vindviggs themselves and not to bring down prey.

Violence aside, their canines are also used as display in order to avoid physical conflict. By showing off how large their teeth are, vindviggs can end a fight before it begins by making their opponent reconsider. Few battles are worth such a nasty bite."
