My plan was to make a video of me redrawing this old picture of Lev... however when I went to edit the video, it was just a choppy mess of a few frames of the sketching and inking phase. I did this all in one sitting just because I was so pumped to make a speed art video and I don't even have usable footage. I should have realized something was wrong when photoshop kept lagging and having issues. Ffffffff
Brief backstory:
Lev was created as part of an original species, but since I am no longer on Deviantart and remember very little about the species, I decided to veer away from that species defining traits (mainly the fused middle digits- yes they are fused, with the claw going between the bone somehow). He is supposed to live up in the snowy mountains, so many elements of his old design just don't mesh with his environment.

From what little I remember, the claws were supposed to be able to retract, but they still look like they would still be a hindrance.
I was trying to make the new one look like he could walk on all fours or on his hind legs, plus better for the snow. Careful, a whole group of hikers has been lost in that mane for days.-
hm, I can see it might retract some of the claw and considering mountain goats dont walk on soft paws ... I guess it could move around on mountains but still have bit trouble with snow.
I really like the new version and no worry, I have my backpack of different items to keep mysellf busy in that glorious mane.

He gives more of a kangaroo feeling with the infused digits in the older piece and yeah, would be a bit hard to move around with in snow or mountains. <-<;
Really love the big paws in the newer version and wanna dive into his mane ^w^ ... so fluffy
