A random thing I did. I used to do city skylines like this a lot, it's pretty fun.
It's 1920x1080 for wallpaper stuff, if you'd like it in another size feel free to ask.
Also, critiques welcome.
I love the look and feel of it, but her hand is quirked in such a way that she either looks like she's composing something, or should be holding a cigarette. She looks like she's puckering her lips, besides, which is what gives me the 'cigarette' idea.
As for the background: it's missing something without the one-point perspective. You could make an interesting motif out of this in the 'cardboard cut-out' sense if that's what you're going for, but it seems like you're trying to do an actual city-scape. Play around with single point perspective (which appears to be well below the station point of your image, but that's fine), and make the buildings look a little more three dimensional. It's not nearly as hard as it sounds!
Only mentioning it because you asked for critique. Otherwise, I really like the mood of the image, and I'd actually encourage you to do something unique with the cardboard cut-out look this has going for it.
Cheers~
Ah! Thank you very much!
That's an incredibly refreshing, serious critique, excellent, thank you sooo much.
I believe I had originally planned to have her smoking and the smoke whisping out across the piece, but it slipped my mind as the night wore on.
I understand what you mean about the perspective, I will have to try this again with more depth added, but I will most certainly continue to experiment with the cut-out style.
Thank you again~

love it, Great design on buildings. Reminds me of that feel you get when being there to see the big city yourself.
