So, funny story, I don't actually remember volunteering for this as I must've done it so late at night I was running on autopilot. So when I got the Note saying I had a volunteer prompt I was baffled. But once I read it I immediately had an idea and I decided to carry through with it.
So this is a February volunteer piece for Whiteclaw001 for the Creature-exchange!
1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
This was the prompt. It was pretty clear and concise while leaving a lot of room for interpretation, which was fun.
2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
Upon reading "snakes" and "gore" I immediately wanted to do snake intestines. And with them wanting a mask-like face and wings, I decided to make a harpy-like design. Went with a barn owl specifically for their already mask-like faces, and because I really love their colors. For the snakes I went with a garter snake, based off of the plains garter snake. Her "hair" is also meant to be snakes, just, the hind end of them, but I imagine they can move as easily as a real snake, so she tends to keep them tied back. I really like what I came up with, I hope you do too!

Holy carp this is amazing! Especially given that barn owls and snakes are my favorite animals XD
