This is the theme for the apparent final boss of the game which comes at the end of this level. Picture a giant cylindrical shaft of machinery and electronics you're on the interior of, trying to activate the core in the middle so you can destroy it. My current idea is for the various rhythm elements of the music to be introduced one by one as you activate each of the supporting systems.
Trying to mature my style and write music that can be easily divided up into arbitrary phrases for dynamic playback.

I love the idea of music in a game becoming more sporadic, hectic or calming as you advance in a process of destroying or fixing something. Not many games do it, the rare few gems that do always end up being really intense, fun, romantic or just cool.
this track is really good. It makes me miss the good old days of playing retro games.
