So I got a free art program called FireAlpaca
and it is SO MUCH BETTER THAN GIMP TBH
Did this random dergen as practice.

Gimp is comparable to Photoshop. Both are designed, as the name Photoshop implies, to be photomanipulation tools.
There are many other programs, several of them quite cheap, which focus on digital art specifically. Paint Tool SAI is definitely a popular and inexpensive one. MangaStudio tends to have a lot of sales around holidays, bringing it into a very inexpensive range.
Regardless of the tools you have, keep drawing! You make cute and interesting art.

And ye, i only heard of FireAlpaca long after i got GIMP, and i'm eternally broke so I couldn't get SAI. Plan to in the future though! XD
