The only perfect thing by Schiraki

The only perfect thing

Schiraki

I tried to write a view words about what I imagined when I painted this, but after deleting the words 4 times, I gave up.

I am not that poetic :(

This is a piece I did for the Eurofurence artshow. It is done with gouache and colored pencils on A3 watercolorpaper.

Because of the size, I was not able to make a scan, so it is a photo you have here. I think about buying a scan, but because it is so expensive...it never paid off before. :/

Naaaw, I forgot it again!

I used this beautiful photo as a reference: http://fav.me/d2ztfdp

Check it out, felixdeon has a gallery full of great art and stock photos. :)

I don't really think it requires any words. The picture itself is pretty poetic.

As for a scanner, almost every single printer out there has one built in for the last 3 years. You can get a cheap one that still scans at 300dpi for around $60 or around 38 and a half quid.

Thank you for the nice words. :)

But there is a big missunderstanding, I HAVE a scanner, but this picture is A3 (16.5 x 11.7 in) and my scanner is only able to scan pictures of A4 size. So I have to go to a copyshop and let them scan the picture, what costs me about 20€ only for the scan.

hmmm... good point. well, i can always keep my eyes open for wide format scanners. i know the American store Staples sells wide printer/scanner for only 114.43 Euro before shipping. i think shipping from that company should be free. or you can order directly from HP. they have one on their site that's for around that price. I personally choose either HP or Canon, but HP has better software whereas Canon's cheaper and their software is always a year behind.

Thank you, but there is one big problem: I dont have 100 € to spend. ;)
