(Note:) People always bitched at me for Sapphirus's character design, I didn't give a shit, and did what I want, and I still do. Mary Sue, or w/e, she's mine and I can do what I want with my character, especially since she's the only persona I have that I use anyway and pure OOC. She's the "Character I wished to be" so that's how she came onto paper in all.

Sapphirus's character originally started as a furry Sonic OC/Feligon/dragoline mix, then short time after, was clanged in the 2nd pic, I drew all my stuff on paper as all artists started. Then as years gone by, she became the Anthro blue dragon form (3rd pic), was on paper first but I misplaced that first sketch, and was around the times I didn't draw her in MS paint yet. She was a single Dragon goddess character at first, then the blue dragon form was temp a "Queen of Dragons" when I discovered Furcadia, then soon into a Goddess of two things later and that's when I discovered using Photoshop, it was a really shitty start. >.<

Since I'm into Sonic, and always was a fan since Sega first came out, he played a role in my inspiration for making Sapphirus originally, she was thought up as like an imaginary friend type of thing around 1997. 1998 was when I first drew her design, then the humanoid was after in 1999/2000. My fandom for Spikey haired characters influenced me too. I love blues and Sonic is blue, so Sapphirus was born, with the name combo between my fav gemstone (Sapphire) with a dragon-ish ending. I didnt have a cool digital art program around Sapph's anthro dragon phase so MS paint was all I had at the time. I was still drawing on paper and MS at these time before I discovered Photoshop when I when I was in HS.

There's was a thing of the past where ppl were claiming I stole Sapphirus's looks from Axel's design. Originally Sapphirus's design/hair was always spikey way before Kingdom Hearts and Axel came out, with the Sapphire blue hair starting anyway (As a Sonic OC ), then soon added with baby/cyan streaks on the tips and changed her more humanoid. I had a fandom moment in 2006-2007 where KH2 when I played Kingdom Hearts 2 and I had a weird over obsession with Axel's character then, so I made Sapphirus's (the humanish form) hair temp all red like his and had her to wear the Org 13 coat temp as a main wardrobe, and altered it over the years, since well I was into Kingdom Hearts 2 that much, I didn't usually have Sapphirus with clothes on and was still pending a design during those times.

So she was in long leather jackets. I stop using the dragon anthro then and stuck with the Kemonomimi and soon altered the long leather jacket into this one you see in 2016, where it's no longer a long leather cloak but a leather jacket, pants and boots.
