He often comes across as brash or blunt when interacting with other students and many students have claimed that their stuff tends to disappear when he's around.
All this combined with his refusal to talk about his past has lead to a lot of rumors and speculations among the student body.

Many suggest he used to be a gang leader, others say he murdered someone, some even suggest he's a spy and that Drake isn't even his real name.
