A Pirate named Damascus by Ryngs

A Pirate named Damascus

Ryngs

Commission for Falvie

Damascus the Haughty Pirate Wolf. This one took me 4 days to do! Its a larger piece (16” x 20”); that, and I had to step out of my comfort zone on several things about this one. It was a challenge. My studio is covered in charcoal dust (its even on the ceiling! I don't know how.), I burned a whole charcoal stick and near two whole charcoal pencils, it's just CRAZY! And yes this is on white paper.

Done with 2H, and 2B Staedler Lumographs, HB and 4B General's charcoal pencils, B and 3B Primo Charcoal Sticks, White Gel Pen (for the background line), Kneaded Eraser, and Papermate Eraser Stick on Canson Bristol Paper (Fantastic Paper!)

Media: Graphite and Charcoal on Bristol Paper

Size: 16" x 20" (41cm x 51cm)

Date: 2013

I always tend to have the worst time keeping any of my charcoal pictures clean. You must be magic or something, or reaaalllllyyyy patient. XD
