"I was once taught
That greed will be punished in the end"
Don't by NakamuraEmi

Dmitri's standing at a crossroads. He considers his choices, though he's not sure he's ever really been allowed to make one for himself. Then he cleans the blood from his clothes, and takes a moment to rest and wait for the rain.
The Lady of the City watches, beautific and smiling, unspeaking; the bodies get colder; the Cat watches unseen.

So this piece is giant and took probably 20 hours of my life altogether and I'm very proud of it, and as such I have a pretty big list of people to cry about in gratitude. Ahem!
Many thank yous to Myoutakara, MissMonie, and MapleNinja (why... do so many of my friends have M screen names?), who humored me sketching it, muttering feverishly, and crying that perspective is hard. Thank you to SariaForestGirl who... I think probably encouraged me on this? It's been a few months since I started this monster of a picture, so it seems likely! Thank you to Savallah who humored me and looked at it with fresh eyes, and ruled that the cat added to the story rather than detracting to it! AND More thank you's to SherbertPeachWoof and ArtOfReina, who saw a wip of this yesterday and encouraged me to finish it and other personal works! I wasn't sure it was possible to do something like this, honestly, and I really appreciate all of you. Thank you so much!
I want to do more pieces like this in the future <3 It was hard and it took forever but I'm more than satisfied with the results.

There's a whole story behind this, but I want to leave most of it vague because the interpretations people make blind are really interesting and fun!... though sometimes that means crying through laughter and explaining to my friends that they have much loftier expectations of me than reality should allow them.
Also this city and his clothes are basically a love letter to my aesthetics.
