Binding of Fenrir by RNTN (critique requested)

Binding of Fenrir (critique requested)

RNTN

For Art History II last quarter I had to make something in the style of one of the art periods we studied. I chose illuminated manuscripts (think the Book of Kells.) I have some mild interest in Norse mythology, so I chose a brief scene from that. This is when Fenrir bites of Tyr's hand during the final binding. I've never used any of this media before and ran into issues with gold leafing, so this isn't nearly as tidy as I hoped it would be.

Brown sepia ink (laid down with a quill,) handmade tempera paint, and gold leafing on sheep skin parchment.

I actually really enjoyed working with tempera paint, so I may start messing around with water colours.
