Not a fan of "veal" at all, and I think it's important to go by what is best for society in the bigger picture when making decisions like this. Ultimately you can't protect the freedoms of everyone at once. The question is, what kind of world do you want to live in and what kind of world will your decisions bringing about?

I would like to imagine that the decision to improve the image of the fandom in this manner will have little impact outside of FN and little impact beyond pedo art. It sounds like you're stuck somewhere in the Slippery Slope Argument loop of the map. If you're this concerned about censorship in a broad sense there are less fimsy platforms to stand on than defending cub porn.

Pardon my backwards implicature. I'm not defending it, I avoid it like the plague. I'm not really interested in the image of the fandom, I just don't think it's good to harbor the sexual objectification of children. You can't really do much about it, but at least you can refuse to be a vector and that is within your personal freedoms. That said, an effective content filtering system is the next best thing.

The analogy breaks down when you realize that it wasn't their decision to remove the veal, but rather they buckled to the complaints of anti-veal proponents who raised a big stink until they got their way. Plus I don't think the slippery slope is a fallacious argument, it is a perfectly valid analogy that applies to multiple real life situations.

So you're a proponent of non-censorship? I'm sure you're aware of the many outlets, lobby groups and civil movements in your area that you can take part in to -actually- battle censorship?

All true! Worker Fry Nut is a privately owned establishment and they can have any menu items they want that are within the realm of legal permissibility. They could even have none! (If they so wanted, although that wouldn't make sense, but it's a technical possibility.)
Crying censorship in this case is ridiculous because;
a) the government is not interposing to tell Worker Fry Nut not to offer veal
b) it's the government that the bill of rights protects you from saying what menu items you are allowed to get or not; not private establishments. (Again, except for those things which are criminal to serve; like Man)If they want to court the anti-veal crowd by this choice or whether they have their own specific distaste for it is neither here nor there; their shop, their rules.
As for my own personal interest in the matter?
I don't eat at Worker Fry Nut and I have no opinion on veal one way or another. That said the potential links one can draw are sometimes troubling.
