Emma, my pine marten girl, As a steampunk airship captain!

I've nearly destroyed my right hand working on this. 5-6 hours sketching, 5-6 inking, and another 5 hours coloring. My hand HURTS...but it was worth it, I hope! I only wish my scanner could replicate the colors exactly as they look on paper!

This was inspired in part by a suggestion by my friend Lauren! I had mentioned that I wanted to reboot Yuki's story and start writing again, and Lauren suggested something steampunk because Yuki doesn't seem like he lives in the modern day. She also suggested Emma be in the story too. On further reflection, I've realized that most of my characters seem like they live in a neo-victorian era. Emma's bright, wealthy, and confident. I think she could pilot an airship.

It was fun bringing back Emma's glasses too. They haven't been seen in the last few drawings of her. Emma is honestly one of my favorite characters to draw. I felt bad for not drawing her for so long. All the details because I love her and I'm glad to be drawing her again. :P
