Third experiment of the evening and the one I'm most happy with so far. I hope to use this as a benchmark for improvement into the future. The main distinction in this piece from my past shading work is essentially photo-painting. Instead of droping matt colours and then using gradients and soft brushes and correction layers, I used layers to create the different surface like hair, horns, eyes, earings, etc. and hand shaded with brushes and a constrained palatte. so this shall be interesting. Very lengthy process however, not as time efficient as flat colouring or the like. Any suggestions or critiques are welcome btw.
