I've had a horrible set of days lately, culminating in a miserable day yesterday. I failed an exam I had been working very hard towards, I had to wait 6 hours in the cold and rain, my self esteem was shattered and my confidence lost.

I arrive cold and wet to an empty home, wallowing in my grief when I see a note. A little green note left there by my partner. It was so sweet and loving it warmed me up, even just a little bit.

I've been so full of bitterness and resentment, envying what other people are having that I forgot to look at just how amazing my soul mate is. He does all these little things for me, letting me know that he loves me every moment, through thick and thin.

Thank you darling, I wouldn't be this happy without you, and at the end of all the trials and tribulations we faced, you are truly the best reward I could've ever asked for.
