After having done a cover-version of the Blotch-piece, I got appetite for a graphite drawing of my own creation. I chose for Joe and Jack, who I haven’t drawn in a bit, but now they’re back :-)

I really liked the idea of the overlapping hands, but the actual process of drawing them was a little nightmare for me. Figuring out the position of arms and fingers did cost my some screwing around. In the end I took photos of myself trying to imitate the hand gestures, and oriented myself after that.

Besides the struggles I had with this drawing, I like how the motif came out. I imagine Joe telling his husband that he loves him, while feeling the blush on his cheek under his hand.
