Qzurr explained in another comment (in his journal) that they aren't planning on a Weasyl page, because the site is pretty much dead. Can't really blame them for that. Weasyl is sadly slow, and will probably continue to be slow until... maybe... eventually they bring it out of beta. Whenever that might be...

As for FA being horrible, sometimes artists don't have a choice. Especially when it comes to audience. Having to completely start over new for an audience is frustrating and difficult. And some artists don't want to have to do it. Or maybe they don't have an issue with FA, despite all that has gone on. Everyone is allowed their opinion of FA in the end. Many artists who left have since gone back because Weasyl literally couldn't support them via commissions and such. Not because they are alright with what some of the staff of FA has done.

And... I'm not sure how DA is unsafe, exactly. But, at least with DA, one could make a 'lurking' account, just to follow the project, and not have to upload their own stuff. And also not have to feel skeevy by being on FA.

But, of course, you're welcome your opinions, and of course you shouldn't feel forced to have to make accounts on other sites if that's not in your interest. Just, mostly offering a different opinion and perspective of it all. Sorry if this is uncalled for, I'm definitely not trying to nag at you. lol
