This is the first assignment I was given my last year in my Illustration class: illustrate your summer break. It wasn't a very pleasant one.

My Grandpa and one of my Aunts died, as did my beloved rat, Mimzy. Since I had to take summer classes I was unable to work full time. Because of that, I had no financial income and my bills soon became overwhelming. Among other trials, bouts of depression, and sleepless nights, I was literally counting down the days to when I could just leave it all and start school again.
