Benji's Water Summons

Next up, Water summons. In the concept art it had the battle summon (which looks like a mix of a croc and a gator) and squid/octopus creature. The octopus creature is not the battle summon but is part of the general summon. When Benji summons them two or four basing on the size of the battle felid will appear to fill said area with water. This only works in rooms and places where water could rise. Once enough water is filled they disappear. Sometimes because of flooding, platforms can appear (like if there were big rocks or furniture in the room). For a bit it will seem like nothing happened until one or two of the battle summons come out of the water. They appear in the water and try to keep some stealth so the enemy feels a false sense of security. Their first goal is to get the enemy off of any platform and into the water. They’ll either bite your leg and drag you in, hit you with their tail to sweep you off, or jump at you. Once in the water you are at their mercy. They mainly bite, ripping and tearing into the enemy, only using their claws to get a hold of you so you can’t really escape as easily. They will use their tails, swinging at you to knock the breath out of you. They will also try dragging you deeper in the water if they can. Over the course of the fight more will appear, especially if the battle gets more difficult.

When they are getting beaten by the enemy or there is obvious danger they can’t fight easily, they’ll do a distress call, summoning their leader. Their leader is giant and really hard to fight. They will bite and do the death spin, use their tails, and pin you to the ground trying to crush your chest with their claws. They do not like their float getting hurt nor their summoner. Them appearing is a last resort and because of the harsh battle style of these summons and how area based this has to be to work Benji doesn’t summon them as often. Unlike the fire summons which Benji tends to summon a lot.
