So for a year now I would see a cool figurine of this monster and I would have no idea what this monster is or what anime they were from. I finally stopped being lazy a looked info up about it. The anime is called Ushio and Tora. Well, first I looked up Hakumen no Mono and found out that was the name of the monster and one of the major villains of the series. First thing I saw of the anime was this scene (warning, blood and gore in the scene)

What. A. Entrance. A fucking plus. The design is simple but detailed (mainly on the face). They are one of the coolest looking kyubis I’ve seen (they beat Ninetales from Okami and Kyubi from Yokai Watch out of the water on the design). Their fucking voice is just…amazing. AND their fucking EYES and teeth,..just amazing and very creepy. I fell in love with this villain instantly and now I’m going to try to read the manga and/or watch the anime for this monster. I doodled them because they are cool and I hope to get better at drawing them.

From the time I posted this piece I read the whole manga and it was truly great, it was one of the best and very unique Shonen series I have read to date. The characters are fun and well written, the yokai designs are amazing, and all the antagonists are so well done. Hakumen no Mono is still my favorite from the series and it a competent, intense, and scary villain. I hope you guys check out the manga and read it. I would only recommend the OVA for the animation and voice acting because it sadly cuts a lot of characters and stories that are important to the story.
