It may be a dirty job, but at the end of the day, it's a job. His job. And someone has to perform this grim service to society, after all. Well, it wasn't that he had any other choice. Living on the very edge of mammalian society, he had made his peace regarding his fate. The town mammals let him live his simple life outside the town gates, and in return he let them live theirs. That was, at least, until the day he had to end one of their lives. As time went by, he was able to specialize in two tools for this purpose. Yes, it was dirty work. But he had become its silent master.
