I've only played Yellow and Platinum all the way through and a bit of Black/White when helping the kids if they got lost in the mazes so I have no idea what you're talking about. It's cute though XD

Lol, okay. XD when you first start gold version, after you leave the house, a maril bounces and walks up to you and your "neighbor" walks up to you. The "rival" in this game is some red haired kid that steals a pokemon from the lab in the beginning. XD
