I generally stick to black and white pictures, to monochrome rather than colorful. I find them simpler, and a lot more alluring. I'm the type of artist that prefers simple concepts rather than complicated ones.
That's not to be misunderstood; Simple doesn't mean boring.
I find that too many artist finds the need to add unnecessary details to art when it isn't needed. To mismatch colors when they don't belong with each other. I strive to be simple with my art, not to let myself be taken away by minor details. Either the detail is visible, or it shouldn't exist!
One of the details I found unnecessary at first were colors. Now I'm trying to get better at colors and so I did a little challenge on myself to use limited color pallets to draw characters. This is the first one of these experiment and I love it.
