Tolerance Threshold Reached

Those who understood fire knew that it could be as simple as a candle flame that illuminates a small room, or as intense as a furnace that reduces ardent metal to a fluid state. Those who understood the Sun knew that its rays nourished the landscape, but could also blind for a careless glance.

It would thus come as a surprise to the knowledgeable that the rage of a certain Gnome had transcended all reasonable limits: that it could melt the most durable alloy and pose, at the very least, as some sort of puny rival to the Sun's blinding rays.

Moral of the story: Don't blow up a Gnome's tinkering projects.
