A fun painting of two of my hens. Willow (the gold colored hen) loves Mildred very much. She constantly snuggles up to her, near her, under her.... Mildred is very patient with all of this.

I adore this! The concepts of 'love' and 'companionship' gets so neglected when it comes to birds in natural art, while they may not be pulling the same human based feelings tied to the word, the interactions they have just feel so human when you DO see them happening!

Love how you paint birds! <3 Your chicken paintings are delightful. Willow looks SO much like my hen, Ginger. Though Ginger is very aloof from the other hens and a tad bossy. x)
