It has been a year since Twist's horrific experience being tied and gruesomely tortured, as well as the last time he had his nightmare while taking a bath, but miraculously, that would be the last time he would experience another terrifying dream like that. Since that last nightmare, the dark thoughts to that disturbing event have faded away and the large scar on his abdomen, while still there, was luckily able to be hidden by the surrounded fur, making it seem as if nothing happened at all. With his wounds healed and a new year in front of him, Twist was able to return back to normal and revert back to his lifestyle, including being a superhero once more.

As the months passed, as the seasons changed, very little happened related to his gruesome torture incident, other than being brought up on interviews just to get more from Twist about that experience, which he doesn't feel unable to speak on the matter, just gets annoyed about it. Now, December has come, Twist sits outside a cafe, with a cup of coffee by his side. It is a sunny day, despite the cold breeze in the air. The sounds of the passing cars and the nearby construction clash with one another, but Twist doesn't mind, as he is relaxed, looking back at the year he had. He was in a state of blissfulness, never once thinking about his disturbing experience and was excited for what the next year would bring in. Twist went to take another sip of his hot coffee when a sudden flash of darkness went before his eyes. Twist was startled at first, but he quickly passed it off and continued to take another sip, when another flash came again, this time being longer than before. Twist accidentally spilled a bit of his coffee onto his leg, reacting by standing up from his chair and putting his cup on the table and walking on the sidewalk to calm down. As he takes some deep breaths, he sees a shadowy figure from the distance. Out of nowhere, Twist becomes stuck in place in fear, as he recognizes that the figure as the same one who tied up him on that chair, in that dark room to be part of that inhumane trap. The figure spots Twist, beginning to walk towards him, gaining speed. Twist, seeing the figure coming towards him, suddenly panics and bolts into the crowd of people, pushing and shoving anyone in his way, he keeps running, with tears in his eyes, looking back if he lost him. During his panic-induced run, Twist accidentally runs into the nearby construction site, breaking the yellow tape and tripping onto the hard concrete. All of a sudden, the lines being used to hoist a large steel I-beam had snapped and was falling rapidly towards Twist's direction. Twist had finally raised his head, only to see a large steel beam heading towards him. The last sound heard from him was a scream of terror, before the loud sound of steel hitting the concrete and the gut-wrenching splat became the only sound heard there.

It wouldn't be long until the news would announce that on December 23, Twist the Cat, at only 24 years old, has been killed by a fallen steel beam. During the final week of December, investigations are held at the construction site, reviewing the line used to hoist the beam, flowers were placed in front of his home to memorialize the fallen hero, it was a grim time for both the city Twist came from and even the world, for everyone wondered how the next new year will go without him.

After all has been said and done that week, the news announced once more that the line used to hoise the beam was faulty and lawsuits were placed upon the supplier of the aforementioned line, as for Twist?

His parents decided to bury him and had decided to hold his funeral publicly for both friends, family, and fans, next year on January 3rd.
