To try to get my drawing and creative groove back I decided to go back and revive one of my old fave characters: Maneki Neko. I decided to use her to try drawing and trying a few new things and voila .... something familiar and yet new. So here goes:

The main species in this world are cats. ( thought there are dogs, mice, and birds, rabbits, and aquatic animals ?) Anyway, I borrowed a bit from nature, making the arms and legs big like paws. Drawing heads differently.. using different shapes instead of just circles. Making the eyes a bit different than I normally do. Cats in this world can go up to a full trot on two legs, but in order to get into a full sprint they run of all fours. Anyway drawing in this way has got me thinking of of how I can change how I draw all my character. So yes, they may return. Anyway, gotta go deal with real life.
