Here are the results of my experiments creating a jointed limb for a plush toy. I used my pattern for Asian Lung Dragon front limbs.

Thick reinforced thread is sewn through the fabric and held in place either side with buttons. it's still a little loose, but I think I can tighten the joint with practice.
