Description from the original submission page:

Looks like somebody isn't exactly ready for inspection...

Meet Private Rollo Randolf, one of the low-ranking soldiers. Lupine, male, age 22. Average fighter, average skill with a gun, less-than-average level of dress at the moment. Standing at attention in front of the entire barracks wearing nothing but his underwear while an officer shouts at him about not yet having his uniform on yet is not how he wanted to start the day, and kitchen duty is not how he wanted to spend the rest of it, but it looks like that's how things are going to be. So long as he doesn't have to go run laps around the base in nothing but his boots and undies like the last time, he should be okay...
He's not painfully incompetent or anything, but prone to minor mess-ups like oversleeping and failing morning inspection. If anybody in the platoon is going to have their pants fall down during exercises or fall out of the back of a transport truck before it even gets underway or trip and eat dirt during a hike, it'll probably be him. Luckily, he's just an infantry soldier and not a pilot or surgeon or tank gunner or something.

Rollo is a new character for the new year! I just decided out of the blue that I wanted to come up with a couple of characters that are military grunts. The low-level guys that aren't the big-name heroes or badasses with kill counts on par with the populations of small countries or enough exploits to make a video game franchise from. The sort of completely normal soldiers that would usually be cannon fodder for the stars, but I thought it would be fun to actually develop a couple such characters and hopefully come up with some fun adventures for them.

Name significance: "Rollo" and "Randolf" both come from the Germanic root word for "wolf". I gave this one some thought rather than just browsing names and thinking "ooh, I like that one".

Simple, standard-issue, yet they still look good! Thanks!

You're welcome! Better now being... humilliated in those, I guess.
