TL;DR: Art by me, lined and colored by MonochromeAgent from FA. This is my new... fursona I guess?
As many of you know, I used to be a digital artist. As much as I kept up with it and improved at anatomy, I never really grasped the concept of shading or how to make my line work look amazing. I tried several times to see if I could get a more experienced artist to finish off one of my sketches to see what my art COULD look like, but was never successful. Thus I gave up art, and that was the end of it.
Then last night Mono agreed to do just that! I've always loved his art, particularly his cell shading, and he's incredibly patient and kind. So he took my sketch, lined it, colored it, and shaded/highlighted it. Looking at this just... is amazing. This is what my art could actually look like. I think that, maybe, I might try my hand at art again. Because if this is what my art can become, then I don't think this is bad at all.

I think you should definitely go for it! And definitely have fun with it. It's a really great feeling to be able to draw your own characters...it's like a form of self-expression, you know? MonochromeAgent did a fantastic job on the inking and coloring, but I can also see that you have great skill in art as well since you created the base with which he worked with! (Trust me, I know all too well that if you don't have something good to work off of, the inking and coloring will suffer too.) If you do choose to draw more again, I hope you don't give up on yourself and keep trying! :)
