Ebon Thundermoon Reference Sheet

Attention Artists

If you're here because I commissioned you, first of all, thank you for your efforts! I always love how much time and detail you put into my lovely Tauren gal here, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your diligence. That being said, please take note for her markings:

Aside from the markings around her eyes, all of the white, swirling patterns are up for interpretation and artist liberty. You do not have to match the patterns seen above if you find them too difficult to recreate - feel free to let your creativity take over and design her markings to your liking! So long as you don't draw a litany of penises all over her or something silly like that (though I admit that would be rather amusing to behold).

Thank you again for taking Ebon on!

Ebon Thundermoon.

Chieftain.

Warrior.

Born to a proud and noble bloodline of druidic, mountain-dwelling Tauren, Ebon was the daughter of a powerful and skilled blacksmith named Orhm, the former Chieftain of the Thundermoon. Her mother, having passed during Ebon's birth, was said to have been one of the tribe's finest and strongest warriors; sadly, it was a likeness that none would ever recognize. Shortly after Ebon's marking ceremony, having not even aged a full decade, the young Taureness was cast off of her ancestral lands by her father in the attempt to save her from a cruel, horrific fate - during the night following her initiation as a full tribefolk, their mountain village had become the victim of a sudden and overwhelming attack of demons.

While she survived the plummet from the cloud-kissed plateau she once called home, her entire tribe was brutally slaughtered, leaving her to wearily trek across the unforgiving lands of Desolace, Stonetalon and the Barrens until she was taken into the ranks of the Horde military - she was barely into her teenage years when she had been thrust into the front lines of the Warsong Offensive, her hereditary height and muscle mass beguiling her true age to the near desperate Horde recruiters. For nearly two decades, she would serve dutifully to the Horde war machine, displaying an almost natural affinity for close quarter combat, weapon mastery and tactical warfare. Her accolades would reach as far as the distant world of Draenor and even to the bitter shores of Northrend, a relentless tenacity inspiring those who would follow her as well as the clanmates of the Thundering Hammer - a proud and shamanistic clan of refugees.

Eventually, her distaste of the Horde leadership would come to an apex with the conclusion of the Cataclysm campaigns, in where the near constant abuse and negligence served from the Horde toward her people, the Tauren, had ultimately resulted in her retirement from the Officer Corps. Though her ties with the Thundering Hammer Clan are still strong, she has devoted the entirety of the resources amassed through the years of defeating both Alliance and otherworldly threats alike into the revival of her tribe.

From the near extinction of her entire tribe, a fresh life has blossomed anew; little by little, one by one, disheartened and broken, Tauren from all flocks of life have gradually begun to fill the ranks of the Thundermoon tribe. Broken hearts become mended, shattered hopes are pieced back together - with every freshly marked Thundermoon, the village of her people continues to grow and prosper, nestled in the high mountains bordering Mulgore and her ancestral homeland, Desolace.
