But it makes a sound too much like an electric mouse I hate--especially the anime version! XD
I've always been a flame-Starter person 80% of the games, but D/P/Pt had a monkey and I don't like Primates, so I went to either Piplup or Turtwig in that installment! XD

Game version only, they are superior xD
I almost exclusively use fire starters too, but I skipped Fenniken because it looked dopey to me xD

I definitely have to like my Starter, because I never remove it from my Party. I swap out the other 5 party members, but never the Starter. It’s kind of my little quirk of playing the games. The professor gave it to me to take care of, so it really is my “partner” Pokémon! :)
