Cookies 'n' Cream Popcorn by KajTaotsu

Cookies 'n' Cream Popcorn

KajTaotsu

Made during the holiday season, this is a really quick, easy, cheap, and tasty treat sure to put a smile on any guest that's over!

Cookies n Cream Popcorn

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag kettle corn or regular white popcorn (I'm sure butter flavor would be fine, so no worries if you don't want to waste time ad money getting another type unless you like it)
  • 12 Oreos, crushed (I put 'em in a big baggy and crushed the buggers with my hands and a rolling pin. Was a lot of fun, to be honest)
  • 6oz white chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Pop the bag of popcorn according to it's instructions. Make sure not to burn the kernels and when done popping, remove the unpopped kernels from the rest of the bag.

  1. Mix up the popcorn and the crushed Oreos until evenly mixed (Going to tell you right now, this will be a bt messy because of the cream filling, but does one really care? They're Oreos, snag a few and munch on 'em while working!)

  2. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring and mixing them between each period until glossy and smooth (From what I can remember, it only took about a minute or so, but the mixing in between is needed to make sure all is melted properly). Drizzle about half of the melted chocolate over the corn and mix with a rubber/silicone spatula. After mixed decently, add the rest and toss the corn/chocolate mixture for a minute or so.

  3. Spread the mixture over a sheet of wax or parchment paper and allow the melted chocolate to set (I popped it in the freezer for about 5 minutes, did the trick well and quick).

Store in an air-tight container

These are really easy to make, really cheap, and really tasty to have. It's kind of hard not to take a lot especially when they set in big chunks!
