Commentary:
I'm pretty sure Kuro's response is something you'd expect for a police officer, especially from one that's supposed to be a leader. Lucky for him it didn't get him immediately killed. I say "immediately" because now there's the risk for him bleeding out as he's unconscious.

Surprise! Shoro has a Sun Emblem and can perform some Solar Magic Spells. You might remember all the way back in Chapter 2 there was a darkness shroud spell performed by Dracmore, Shodu. Lusoa is the Solar equivalent to that.
