Okay wow can I just gush about this for a second? I'm gonna gush over this for a second.
First of all, the colors and values are absolutely beautiful and I love your choices. They all work so well and nothing looks out of place or sticks out more than it should--typically things like bright flowers would really be distracting from all the other elements of a piece, but not in this.
Second, PERSPECTIVE. There's depth and it's wonderful and the angle that you're "looking with" is believable, and that's hard to make work. Major, major props.
Third, the details make me want to rub my face against my monitor. This is essentially lineless, so the fact that there's so many different, distinct textures is just EXCELLENT. Grass, wood, fur, leaves--JUST GOSH.
I just.... wow okay this is excellent and the fact that there's only one favorite aside from mine is dumb. Your girlfriend is super lucky to have a partner that puts so much love into a gift like this. Give me warm and fuzzies, and while it wasn't even for me or anything, I feel the love and am so very very pleased with the results.
