Portrait of a Lynx in Charcoal by Huehuehue (critique requested)

Portrait of a Lynx in Charcoal (critique requested)

Huehuehue

I just finished this charcoal portrait earlier today.

I'm very pleased with how it came out!
If you guys don't mind, could you tell me what you like about this drawing if you like it?
I would like to get some more feedback on my work, but I never get any comments

This looks really nice! Great work on the expression.
I'm no expert myself, but I'll try to give some constructive feedback. I'd say most parts of the drawing are fine by themselves, but the proportions/placement are a bit off. In my opinion the ears look too small/thin for a lynx, and the eyes would look better if they were a bit further down so it doesn't look like the lynx has no forehead. Shading is good, though it looks a bit too faint (but this may be a scanning problem or maybe my screen is just too bright). Consider using photos for reference if you aren't already, it's a great way to improve. Keep up the good work! :D

Hello, thank you for the feedback!
I didn't notice the proportion problems until after I posted this, I will do better next time! I also didn't use photo reference for this, this is a problem that I keep putting off but I will use photo reference next time. And yes, you're not wrong, the shading is too light. This was the first time that I used charcoal pencils in years, I will try to improve my shading with charcoal in future drawings.

Also, thank you very much for mentioning the incorrect positioning of the eyes on this drawing.
Looking through my old drawings I noticed that I have done the same thing for most of my drawings. sigh
Well, at least I know something that I can improve in my drawings.
