IHaveFury #SaveAlphaDream #SaveMarioandLuigi

These hashtags came about because Alpha Dream, the creators of the Mario and Luigi franchise are bankrupt. There is a possibility of no new Mario and Luigi games, which is sad because that series did so much for me. Thanks this company for getting me into the Mario franchise.

Vivian is there too because even though she was made by Intelligent Systems, a lot of Paper Mario fans are also fans of Mario and Luigi.

I wonder if Nintendo will just rely on re-releases from now on or make an attempt to try creating their own version of the game series? It wouldn't be the same, but I can see Nintendo trying to do so simply to make money............. :/

Well, the remakes didn't do as well, let's not forget. A re-release of M&L for the Switch though will need a lot of polishing as well. Graphically it is fine but the U.S. release of the game was not as friendly as its Japanese counterpart and emulators make Peasley reset the game.

I have all the original releases, so I haven’t played the re-released versions with the extra stuff. But I can see Nintendo re-releasing them all at least via digitally (to make a little more money), and not really doing any polishing.......like putting together a classics library as they did back on the Wii.

I used to have the original release of Superstar Saga (though now I have the remake on the 3DS).

The Switch only has NES titles but we can hope for Gameboy Advanced games if we start playing enough. My biggest fear is Nintendo won't hear our cries.

Looking forward to a re-release of Thousand Year Door though.

Given the big push by every company towards a digital format--I can see them making the "popular titles" of their back library available to users by doing that. My friend was telling me about an article on the PS5 and I pointed out to her that look at how they described particular features............"backwards compatibility in some form" (digital library, I'll bet) and the fact that even though they are touting a larger data disc format for games, it says "full installment is mandatory". If you have a physical disc, why would you need to fully install a game from it? Companies are just trying to find ways to soften the blow as a move towards full digital/no physical.

It's honestly horrifying, as someone that personally prefers physical copies. With that said, I hope this push is to help lower prices for games.

If they start going digital and still charge $60-70 for games with no other incentives for doing so, I think they'll lose a big part of their fandom. People may turn around and start playing mobile games for cheaper instead. nods

Yikes. Yeah, that's my biggest fear. That, and I could you know... do something illegal if they do that and run it on an Emulator but whatever works.

Considering Pokémon Home is a mobile hub for their cellphone games and the Switch.....it does make me wonder if Nintendo may start cross-platform of some games that way, too. They’re using the Switch’s Bluetooth feature for it, which mean they may have more games connect to a mobile version in the future, too.

                      That is an interesting concept.

With them suddenly being all over the "Fire Emblem" series. I wouldn't be surprised if their mobile game could somehow connect to "Three Houses" in a weird way! XD

Oh yeah. That is still big.

                            Yeah!

I remember despite the story being... Not my cup of tea that Fire Emblem Fates helped me out of a bad slump.
