I did a sketch of Shank as Venom in 2018 after seeing the Venom movie... and did nothing with it. My bad. But since I've been doing tone paper sketches lately, I decided to revisit this idea. My 2018 drawing was more toony looking to match how I usually draw Shank, but with this new sketch I made him a little more muscular and slightly taller. I guess the symbiote added a little body mass? I also used some colored pastels for Shank's bill, tongue, tail and flippers so they stand out more from the rest of his body. And since I had some space at the bottom, I added a name logo too.
